Doctoral Student Organization

The mission of the Doctoral Student Organization (DSO) of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is to inclusively support all students by engaging in professional and social endeavors.  

Such endeavors will: a) enhance educational experiences; b) foster integrity, leadership, and professional development; c) encourage students to actively challenge structural racism; d) promote social justice and health equity.

Congratulations to our Newest Doctors

Dr. Brianna Morgan has successfully defended her dissertation, “Inner Strength and Influencing Factors in Persons Newly Diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment and Their Family Care Partners.”

Dr. Bruno Saconi has successfully defended his dissertation, “Chronic Pain Outcomes in Veterans with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.”

Dr. Tarik Khan has successfully defended his dissertation, “Self-Efficacy in Vulnerable Populations: Family Caregivers of Older Adults with Cognitive Impairment and Persons Experiencing Homelessness with Complex Health and Psychosocial Needs.”
